FEP website now displays the number of implementations for each implementable proposal: https://fediverse.codeberg.page/fep/final/ These numbers are based on the information that authors provide in the "Implementations" section of a proposal. By default, proposals are informational, so authors need to opt in by adding type: implementation to the metadata block. #fep #fedidev

#fedidev #fediverse it would be nice if #boost s could be moved to a list. Right now I've configured my client to hide boosts to keep my home feed clean but it might be interesting to be able to scroll through the boosts to see if something is interesting

My posts on Mastodon say that no one is permitted to quote-boosts my posts — yet I never made that choice. (I'm actually OK with others quote-boosting my posts.) I know enough to be aware this. Most aren't. A very large number of people have no idea that someone else made this choice for them. I suspect the vast majority of them would have chosen the opposite. I think Mastodon should have represented "user has not chosen" in the JSON-LD. #ActivitiyPub #FediDev #FediDevs #Fediverse #fep044f

On stage now, @django@social.coop — arguing for widespread adoption of ActivityPub client-server (C2S) protocol. I agree with him. At the very least, to make extension of ActivityPub through JSON-LD namespaces possible. But also to decouple Fediverse client development from Fediverse server development. with all the meta about the new social network called W going on I thought it was funny I just discovered a new flavor of #fediverse server at https://z.org Looks like its author @maxfield got federation working last month and they named the software #Elektrine #fedidev
