Über den Wert eines Safe Space lsbt.me hat sich als Anlaufstelle für LGBTIQ+ Menschen und Allies etabliert. Mittlerweile nutzen 326 Personen diese Plattform als digitalen Raum, in dem queere Identitäten selbstverständlich sind und respektiert werden. Solche Räume entstehen nicht von selbst und erhalten sich auch nicht ohne Aufwand. Die technische Infrastruktur erfordert dedizierte Server mit ausreichend Kapazität, professionelle Backups und kontinuierliche Wartung. Diese Kosten fallen monatlich an und werden derzeit hauptsächlich privat getragen, ergänzt durch einige wenige regelmäßige Spenden. Um diesen Safe Space langfristig zu erhalten, sind wir auf Unterstützung aus der Community angewiesen. #LesFicFri "EXCUSE" It was only two days to the wedding. Polly had been up early for a change, without even a pause for a cuddle and fumble. Just a kiss and she was away. Once dressed, she set about checking through all the clothes she was planning to take, and seeing what needed a needle taking to it. The pile was not insignificant. Leaving Veronica with nothing to do. She lay in bed not wanting to interrupt Polly, but the prospect of dressing herself again did not appeal. Even if she did need more practice. Instead, she dozed for another hour and wished she had a book to read. Later, Polly stopped sewing, helped Veronica dress, and they went down to breakfast. After which Polly excused herself and went back to the bedroom to carry on with the sewing. Gemeinsam getragener Raum lsbt.me ist zu einem wichtigen digitalen Ort für queere Menschen geworden. 324 Accounts nutzen diese Plattform als Raum für Austausch, Vernetzung und Community. Das ist großartig und zeigt, dass solche Angebote gebraucht werden. Gleichzeitig bedeutet eine wachsende Nutzerzahl auch wachsende Anforderungen. Die technische Infrastruktur muss mit der Community mitwachsen - mehr Speicherplatz, leistungsfähigere Server, zuverlässige Backups. All das verursacht laufende Kosten. Aktuell wird der überwiegende Teil dieser Kosten privat getragen, unterstützt durch einige wenige regelmäßige Spenden. Um die Instanz langfristig als Community-Projekt zu erhalten, wäre eine breitere finanzielle Beteiligung hilfreich.
