I watched a video today where Adam Savage was taking a tour of some of the cramped sets for "Project Hail Mary" and said of Das Boot: "That's the first movie I ever saw on cable." That stuck out to me because I also have a very vivid memory of the first movie we watched on cable right after we had it installed. It was still a relatively new thing and the idea that movies would just be on 24/7 _without commercials_ was mind blowing. Anyway, we came in about 15 minutes into "Jack the Giant Killer" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_the_Giant_Killer_(1962_film) It's very much #monsterdon type fare. Any other olds out there still remember the first flick they watched when they first got cable? Is that something that sticks with other people?
