My mind has been able to think of nothing or do anything other than positioning myself in the job hunt market. It's been nonstop resume crafting, website/portfolio maintenance, job listing searches, and similar since the news broke if my layoff. I haven't really even stopped to absorb it, I don't think. Hopefully balance will come and I'll be able to read a fun book, take care of house projects, watch a show, and such things.

For those of you that strength train, what's your guideline for when it's okay to go back to the gym?

Somewhere along the way I picked up that if it's in the chest, rest. If it's just in the head, it's okay to go.

I'm a week into persistent chest stuff. I *feel* mostly better, but keep working stuff out of my lungs.

The pharmaceutical company that manufactured the drug that keeps my body from self-destructing my intestinal tract called wanting to help me navigate open enrollment that so many people have to do in March. Which I used to. But now mine is in November. And they wouldn't talk to me unless I "verified" my personal information so they could look at my file they'd already used to call me to begin with. On the one hand, American healthcare is a messed up system and most folks can use all the help they can get. On the other, this is an avenue ripe for scammers. I hung up on them.
