In response to the folks who say “why don’t Americans DO something!” I’ve been writing occasionally about our ICE watch group, and how hard it is to organize a random group of people to do something important.

We have a group call once a week to compare experiences and pass on tips. These have become extremely difficult to sit through as one guy in particular seems to have decided to be the hero we’ve all been waiting for.

He’s an expert on everything and loves to talk

A recent high tide pushed huge blocks of the ice sheet onto the shoreline, making it possible to see how thick it had been, and how “rotten” the ice had become before it split apart.

If she marries her perfect match & gets pregnant, far too many states would press criminal charges if she miscarries, and/or let her die in the ER if she has complications. If she bears a child, she’s faced with crushing childcare payments, as well as high rent, expensive food—and student loan repayments. All while our “leaders” tell her she’s “not good enough”. #WhoNeedsIt
