I am in the market for a new . Is there a recommendation from my fellow nerds here?

I have a that is 15 years old (literally!). So that one has no backlighting or anything. If I trade it in, I can get 20% off a new paperwhite from amazon which makes it a kind of nice price (~144€). But I wanted to consider other manufacturers. Is the era worth the extra price? Would be like 60€ extra. Any others I am missing?
