Always scares me when I realize when lead was outlawed in gasoline (for road going vehicles, still used in some cases which is insane). It’s not as long ago as I think (and you might think).

I started college the year it was outlawed (one year later in the U.S.).

We really need to start outlawing a hell of a lot of more things.

I know reality isn’t the same, even if some of the events seem common. Similar to how American high school movies and shows aren’t very close to reality.

The fetishism of all things in the past is disturbing. Not that there weren’t things better in the past. I was there for some of it. But this across the board idea that everything was better isn’t healthy. Neither personally nor for society.
